Good grief, Win 11 needs high powered computers and then they’ve taken things out.  Doesn’t make much sense to me.  Oh, that’s right, it’s fancier and more secure.  LOL

Even astrophysicist Carl Sagan when speaking astronomically used Billions, not Trillions.

Seems more like clickbait to me. Snip n Sketch is in W11, as it is in W10, so there is no reason to put Snipping Tool back.

Though it is called Snipping Tool in Win11. I gather it has more facilities than Snip and Sketch, but I haven’t used it much on 11 yet. Just been trying for someone else who can’t get it to work.

Thank you. Once I am force to move into the crapware called Windows 11, I will know that can go back to the normal tool. The Windows 10 Snip and Sketch crashes often and I am assuming it will be the same in Windows 11 crapware. MS does not focus on fixing things. They focus on breaking things.

Like that summary of MS employees.  but I think you are missing “un-brilliant morons who do not use MS products since all are Apple fans.”

On W10/11 it’s Snip n Sketch. I use it all the time and it’s easy, flexible and allows simple annotation. Definite improvement over Snipping Tool.

You must be one of the luck once that the tool work. It does not work on two of my computers( Home – IBM, and work computer – lenovo) Three other coworkers have the same issue with it on different computers (Asus, Sager, and Dell). IT has been clearing the data cache to try to fix it and reinstall Windows 10 but still no luck get it fix. This is why use the working tool called Snipping Tool. Old stuff works better most of the time on MS.

I have both on Win10.  Snip & Sketch is noticeably slower than Snipping Tool for a Snip > Copy > Paste.  Its annotation capability would be valuable if there was a typing function.  The Pen and Highlighter tools in Snipping Tool are similar to what is in Snip & Sketch for annotation.  Everything beyond that is bloat for a snipping tool.  Additionally, I have yet to figure out how to get rid of its annoying startup screen about Windows logo key +Shift +S.  Where is the “Don’t show me this screen again” option?  Don’t bother answering that.  I’m sticking with Snipping Tool.

I completely disagree. The entire trend for Microsoft to make everything look like Apple is a mistake. The dropdown menus are better than the ribbons. This is just another example of making something MUCH less useful. And if people like you find it useful, why NOT provide people like me the option for the other user interface?
