Return of The Network Password Prompt (2003 SP2)

My hard drive ate itself recently and, among other things, I’ve reinstalled the Office suite, including Outlook. Within a day of setting it up, I’ve been receiving frequent network password prompts. (There are maybe six e-mails in the Inbox and Sent Items boxes.)

Attempts to solve this in the past, via the registry editor, have not worked.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is this an imported profile or did you set it up from scratch? Actually, my suggestion is to create a new “account” regardless of the answer.

I had this problem in O.E. and Microsoft has a fix for it. I also had the same problem in Outlook, and tried the O.E. fix and it worked. I have attached the follow up e-mail from Microsoft with the resolution.
