Is there a way in a report to reverse the order of words in a field drawn from a table or query.

I have a table with a field of full names (first middle last), and would like to be able to put them on reports in both first/middle/last order or alternatively in last/first/middle order.

If the names are being fed to the report as three distinct fields (First, middle, and last) then sorting and grouping may accomplish what you are after.

If the names are being fed as one field, first middle last, then I am not sure how you would do this other then by feeding the report the data in the order wanted and then using the sorting and grouping feature. You may be able to use your name field and the instr command to get the data the way you want it.
