AskWoody LoungerNovember 16, 2020 at 9:18 am #2312257Eh, I don’t use Outlook (besides the calendar), and only really use Word and Excel, so I’m quite happy with 2010. The UI in the newer versions is horrible, though there are a couple of other nice features I’d like. For casual home use though, 2010 does me just fine.
Not exactly much of a security problem as long as I don’t open any .xlsm files or whatevs from people I don’t know.

AskWoody PlusNovember 16, 2020 at 4:12 pm #2312359Hi Susan
Re: Win10 2004/20H2 blocking and Conexant
I just wanted to note that the Conexant issue is also blocking many consumer HP laptops from upgrading to 2004/20H2. I know for sure that older Envy and Spectre models which are a similar age to the Dell machine you mentioned are impacted.
Congrats on your new AskWoody role BTW!
Thanks HS

AskWoody LoungerNovember 18, 2020 at 4:35 am #2312689Office 2010 will become more dangerous to use — especially when it comes to email phishing attacks.
Evidence? The most targeted still is the O365. Am I mistaken?
A recent Trend Micro article noted that a U.S. Secret Service bulletin warned of phishing attacks specifically targeting organizations using Office 365.

Old article, but still valid to me. Cant post exact statistics here, but Id like to. But I dont know how to find them. Also I think that phishing attack requires user action – click the link. So for me, it makes no difference in O365 or O2010.
O365 has more phishing attacks. So its even more dangerous to me.Dell Latitude 3420, Intel Core i7 @ 2.8 GHz, 16GB RAM, W10 22H2 Enterprise

Nope, the latest bugs allow infection by viewing in Outlook.
