Rounding error

Hi folks, naively I thought that Excel had fixed rounding errors.

We recently had a challenge to a tender selection where someone was ranked below someone else.  Turns out they scored equally and shouldn’t have been eliminated.

I’ve isolated the rogue formulas in the attached.

Can anyone confirm the error in the attached is rounding and how I could have spotted it or used a different formula to rank?

An intermediate round is needed in the calculation of the scores.

=ROUND(((($E2/5)*$A$2)*100),2)

Sorry, I forgot go move the display back to no decimal points after checking.

Note: you could also set the round to round to whole numbers if that is all you’re interested in?
