Using acient Access 97, I would like a row number
In Oracle it is simply Select Rownum, t1.fieldname from mytable as t1 order by t1.fieldname

How do I get a row number in an Access query. Thanks

Access doesn’t have row numbers, but take a look at this thread or search on the entire phrase “row number”.

Thanks. I followed the thread and got it to work. IMHO it is rinky-dink, but it works.
