I do not know whether this issue started with the recent troubles with the website, but the RSS feed is not working properly anymore. It only refreshes once a certain period and not when a new item is posted on the homepage. If it refreshes (which may take more than a day sometimes it seems), then, logically, usually a couple of new items appear and everything is up to date at that moment. Right now (16.42 hrs CET on Wednesday 25th October)  the latest item on the home page is about the new ransomware in Ukraine, but the latest item in the RSS feed is about what problems we see with Win10 Fall Creators Update, which is 2 items older than the item about the ransomware.

Because I follow this website mainly via RSS, which is very convenient, I hope this issue can be solved.

The jumbled RSS sequence is all my fault. I re-posted an older item about FCU bugs, updating the time stamp to make it appear at the top of the list. I did that so people who go there from the Computerworld article will add their comments to the old bunch of comments.

As far as delayed RSS postings – yep. There are a couple of sources of delay. First, WordPress updates the site’s RSS feed file every 10 or 15 minutes. Second, your RSS feeder also undoubtedly has a setting to scan for new RSS files every 5 or 10 or 15 minutes.

[original content deleted. It seems that my browser and/or my RSS reader are playing up that require more research to make sure the problem does not originate at my end. My apologies for posting]
