Safest way for Clean Win10 install in between patch All-Clear?

I have finally gathered all the new components for a new PC build and getting the itch to start installing.

But we are in the middle of waiting for Win10 Updates All Clear for April.

What is the safest option to employ? Just grab all through March manually? Or let Auto-Updates run even if it forces me to accept April Cumulative before cleared using WuShowhide to hide it before accepting download and install?

Or I can just wait until 1st of next month after all clear, just have to hold out, its not that long.

I usually install offline, with internet disconnected. After install and optimizations, on Win10 Pro, I set my deferral period and then go online for updates. Haven’t really had any issues. On the few home versions I’ve done I used to just let it fully update but now you can set it to delay so that’s what I do.

It’s a new machine so you have nothing to lose from a bad update.
I would let it update everything and then install my stuff.

If it is W10 Home set the network connection to “metered” after all updates are in.
