Saving as JPG

I’m using PowerPoint 2000 to create anatomy identification slides using medical images. I import a JPG file and use callouts from autoshapes to create the labels. They look great when viewed and used as a presentation. However, I also need to save the finished slides as JPG files for use in other software. When i use the SaveAs JPG file, the resultant files are no where near the quality of the originals in PPT format. Callouts with perfectly horizontal lines in PPT are “off” in the JPG file. Colors and lines of the callouts are smeared. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a better solution to do the initial labeling than PPT?

It would really work out better if you used something like Adobe PhotoShop or Jasc’s Paint Shop Pro.

Why not use the screen capture facility in Paint Shop Pro or similar ?

Ah, good idea. Keep the simplicity of the callouts in PowerPoint, and use the power of a graphics package to save the file.
