Can anyone tell me where I might find some info on controlling a scanner with an ActiveX control? Supposedly there is a Multimedia Control packed into VB Professional, but all the help I can find so far is all about how to play CDs and movie clips and such. It distinctly says that it supports image scanners, though, so there must be something somewhere to tell me how to do this. Mustn’t there? I have .net also, and its help files tell me nothing. I am willing to work in 6.0 or .net, if that makes a difference, but 6.0 would be preferred by the boss for now. Any leads or suggestions appreciated. compute

There is a Kodak Image Scan Control installed by Windows 98, that can be used to control the scanner. AFAIK, it is not included with the later versions of Windows.

It comes with Windows up through Win2k. WinXP has a different kind of support for scanners.
