Schedule Windows Defender Scan in 8.1.1

I would like to be able to schedule scans in Defender but Microsoft has nothing posted as to how to accomplish this. They do have an excellent tutorial on scheduling on Windows 7, but it doesn’t carry over to 8.1.1. Has anyone ran across this problem? Your replies would be most appreciated. Thanks.

This works in Windows 8 and 8.1. I’ll wake my laptop to see if it also works with 8.1.1.

Always create a fresh drive image before making system changes/Windows updates; you may need to start over!

We all have our own reasons for doing the things that we do with our systems; we don't need anyone's approval, and we don't all have to do the same things.

Yes, it does work in Windows 8.1.1. Just follow the tutorial.
