There are a couple of postings cuurently discussing Screen Print/Capture programs.
For me, the hands down best is Snagit and it’s sister program Studio, by Techsmith.
It’s not free (has a free trial) but the options for input, output, and graphics touchup and editing make it well worth paying for.

    Have a Great day!!!

      Hi
I’m not at all sure why you would want to pay for something that Screen Grabber does for nothing, unless it’s the editing facilities that you need and you don’t already own anything suitable by Kodak, MS or JASC. Still, it’s your prerogative…

        Hi MerC
I just went to your link for Screen Grabber and guess what……….Snagit is their Featured Download.
I did a quick check of Screen Grabber’s capabilities……..NO comparison in my mind!
Too many features in Snagit/Studio to get into here…..if anyone’s interested, download the free trial and give it a go.

        Have a Great day!!!

          Hi Ken
You went to the link I gave and found what? I can’t see Snag It anywhere at the NoNonsense Software site. Drop us the real link so we can have a look at your baby.
          Cheers

The featured link on the page changes everytime you reload it, so that’s probably why you didn’t see it.

But I will agree that Snag It is the best Screen Capture programs I have used.

            Hi Ken
Grabbed a copy of Snag It, and you’re quite right. It does much more than SG. I find the autosave with a sequential file number particularly useful. I bought it.
            Cheers

              Hi MerC

Glad to hear you found Snagit worthwhile…..hope you got Studio as well…..it should be included with Snagit.
I find the ability to scroll the capture to include off -screen parts of a window very useful.
I’ve also found the added graphics capabilities of Studio handy for illustrations and explanations.

I’ve downloaded the manuals and cleaned them up in “Word”…… Snagit at 186 pages and Studio at 31 pages.
              The manuals are worthwhile having.

By the way…..my signature graphic is a Snagit exercise.

Anyone else interested can find Snagit/Studio here.

              Have a Great day!!!
