Security Update KB2931356 Continuous Failure to Install

I keep getting a failure to install on Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 for x64-based Systems (KB2931356)

Error details: Code 800B0100

I’ve searched forums and Microsoft help without success. I have updates set to automatic and each night it tries to install the same update and continuously fails.

Any help for would be appreciated.

MS also have a .NET Framework Repair Tool which may help http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30135

My apologies for taking so long to reply.

I tried all of your suggestions at at least one of them worked (not sure which one).

But the latest attempt to install this update worked, so now all is good.

The .NET Framework Repair Tool is designed to help with their updates so it could have been that, but glad you were able to sort it and thanks for the update which may be of help to others in that something of those worked.
