Seems like I’ve seen this work in the past, but can’t seem to get it to work again.

If I compose and e-mail with addresses, save it to my drafts, open new e-mail and then attach that e-mail, the send button is greyed out.

I need to compose the e-mail, attach it in the new e-mail, send it to the boss and when he opens the attached e-mail for him to be able to hit the send button since it is already pre-addressed.

      Works for me. Which version?

      I tried it too ways.

First created a draft with the addresses. Composed new email and dragged draft message into new message, send to somebody else, but when they open the email and then the attachment, the send button is greyed out.

Second way: Instead of dragging the email into the new message >> Insert >> Attach Item

      Still same results

      Hi Bruce,

Found my answer. I needed to save the draft as a .oft. Works grand. Thank you for your time and interest.

      Hi jrb,
if you compose your email then click ‘File’ Save as, you can cancel it without saving as a draft, then add the saved .EML file to your next message as an attachment.

Maybe I am missing something here, but what is the purpose of attaching the draft to a message? Do you want to send the draft to the email addresses originally saved with it?

Because we are not the final approval authority for the sent message.

So this means, we draft the message, list the appropriate addresses, send the message to the appoval authority. Once they open the attachment and have approved the contents of the body of the email, they hit send.

I originally thought the send button was greyed out for you, not the boss.

I think that would be purely due to the From field, which you or s/he would need to change via the Options tab, View From.
