Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerAugust 11, 2005 at 9:09 am #965760I don’t know of a way to “split” a print job to more than one printer at the SAME time, unless someone else does. Maybe there is some utility that will do that for you, I don’t know. If you do have two printers connected, regardless of type, either directly to your machine or by network, you can send a print job to each one IN TURN from whatever application you’re using, such as Word or whatever. Just select the first printer and send the job – it usually only takes a few seconds. Then select the next printer and send the job again. Hang on to see if anyone else knows of any tricks. AskWoody LoungerAugust 12, 2005 at 3:35 pm #966077An A-B printer switch allowed you to send printout to either the printer connected to the A position or the printer connected to the B position, depending on how you set the switch.
The PC’s parallel port could only process signals sent to/received from one printer at a time. And the A-B switch sometimes did not work very well, either!

AskWoody LoungerAugust 11, 2005 at 11:36 am #965780Hi There
Welcome to the Lounge. I am assuming you are using Microsoft Office Word as you mention document. The easiest way to do this in Word is to record a macro and have it saved to your Normal.dot template.
1) Tools | Macro | Record New Macro…
2) name Your macro, say Printers
3) Store macro in: All Documents(Normal.dot)
4) Press OK
5) Print the document to the first printer and then print it to the second printer.
6) Stop recording macro
You have now recorded a macro that when run will print the document to the printers you want.
