Whenever I boot up and go to my desktop and launch Chrome, I get a dialog that says this:

Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?
Program name: Service Control Manager Configuration Tool

I’m using a standard account, if that’s relevant.

    Cheers,

    Will

It sounds like perhaps Chrome did not install properly. TheServices Control Manager seems to be in charge of launching all Services that launch automatically. I suspect it also works to launch Services as you open apps. Since the error seems to occur when you launch Chrome I would suspect there is a problem launching the Chrome Service.
