• Setting Default Indent (Word 2007)

I have one user that recently started using Word 2007. She has a problem I’ve not been able to correct Her right indent is set at 3.5 inches in her new documents. I’ve tried resetting the indent default to 0″ , but to no avail, the next time a new document is opened it opens with a 3.5 inchez right indent. I could delete the normal template, but then she’d have to reset all her defaults all over again. Any ideas or suggestions.

      Let her try this:
      – Click the Office button.
      – Select Open.
      – Click Templates in the Open dialog.
      – Select and open the Normal template.
      – Modify the Normal style to set the right-indent.
      – Also make sure that the right margin in Page Setup is set correctly.
      – When done, close and save the Normal template.

Once again it worked like a charm, you are the best! We keep trying to save it to the normal template, but it wouldn’t save just when we saved. Judy
