(Feel free to delete this comment and move this thread should it need to be elsewhere. Thanks!)

Windows 7 on a lenovo ideapad and on an HP elitebook share a wireless Internet connection thanks to my trusty US Robotics Wireless MAXg ADSL Gateway (model 9108A or USR9108). My hp LaserJet 1200 can connect to the lenovo and print flawlessly; however, I’d like to connect the printer to the USB port on the US Robotics router and create a shared network printer but have been unsuccessful.

Set me straight from the beginning! What will it take to accomplish this task?

Is there a chance the router and printer have Ethernet connections? I connect my Canon MP620 via Ethernet to my router. Works great.

The router has such but the printer only has a USB connection. I had been using an HP 3052 “all-in-one” with XP, but somehow Windows 7 wouldn’t play nice, and I even tried the Vista setup file unticking/unchecking this and that to no avail.

Looks pretty simple. Did you follow the instructions?

I thought I’d followed the directions but missed the shared printer radio button so, yes, all is working properly now – thanks!
