I was just given responsibility for a set of document libraries on a SharePoint 2007 server. Unfortunately, the previous person did not know anything about versioning in SharePoint. This means I have 166 documents, which are all various versions of 18 final documents. I would like to get this all combined into the 18 final documents with the appropriate past versions. These are Word docs from Word 2003-2010, Visio 2003-2010 files, and PDFs.

Anyone know of a way to do this? Right now, the only thing I can find is to download the whole mess and re-upload them properly named and in order to get the versioning. I am really hoping there is a more efficient way to do this.

    Thank you,
    DeNae Leverentz

Sorry for taking so long to respond. Unfortunately, I know of no other way than what you have proposed.
