sharing isp on XP (windows XP)

We have 2 PC’s in the house, mine is XP and my boyfriends is 98 – at the moment we have a shared folder ( thanks to the help of you guys). My boyfriend wants to upgrade to XP. Can we still share folders and use one internet connection for the 2 computers if both are running XP? I would have thought so, but someone has put doubts in my mind about this…

In addition to Leif’s suggestion you may want to consider a home router to share the Internet conection, particularly if it’s a high speed connection as opposed to dial-up.
