    Hi all,

Is it possible in Excel to number the sheets in a workbook? i.e. if I had 4 sheets in a workbook, is there anything I can do without manually going into each sheet and numbering sheet one as page one, sheet two as page two…and so on.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Is your question about the names of the sheets or about how you want the sheets printed?

If it’s about printing, and each sheet has one printable page as set, with headers or footers which include the page number, and you want consecutive page numbering of the printout, select all the sheets (shift click the first and last sheet name tabs, or ctrl click each of the sheet name tabs you want printed) and print them at once.

Automatic naming of the sheets by number is possible with some VBA code.
