Any one can help?I don’t rip directly to my player but rip then copy from File Explorer to the player.
WMP can shuffle a play list but copying the .mp3 files to a player will depend upon whether that player can shuffle them, usually just lists them by name or file name and/or Folder name, at least my older iPod does.
One thing that may work is to number each song before copying to the player by but 1, 2, 3 or 01, 02, 03, etc. at the beginning of the file name. Tedious.

AskWoody LoungerDecember 3, 2015 at 5:11 pm #1540405I have had this issue with an older mp3 player that I’ve used when out walking. I’ve tried two solutions, the first is renaming the songs. If done manually, this is tedious, agreed. I also found a program that would assign random file names to a batch of files which ends up making things random. The trouble is the display on the mp3 player may display these random names and I didn’t like it. I now use a program called DriveSort, which allows me to drag and drop stuff in an order I like.
Here’s the description from the about field:
This program enables you to reorganise the content of the directory tables on a FAT drive, in order to help portable multimedia players to play their music tracks in the right order.
It works directly on the opened disk filesystem, so use it at your own risks. It’s a good idea to make a backup of sensitive data before working on a disk.Although it was made for the I-Bead player, it should work well with other portable multimedia players having a FAT12, FAT16, or FAT32 formatted disk, such as the Lynx, Muro, your mobile phone flash card, …
I used DriveSort v1.223 for my old mp3 player.
The process is still a bit tedious, but much easier than manual renaming, and since I often intermix audiobook files (which I want in order) with songs in between chapters (which can be random), it allows me to do this.
Enjoy!

JohnIt would be quite nice if folks suggesting a program were to include a link to the publisher’s Web site.

Considered that. There was no official website link in the programs Help-About box. I listed the program name and version number. You can google it just as easily as I can 🙂 Merry Christmas.
I typed “Drivesort” into google. It was the first item:

I posted the comment as different Search engines get different results, the 2 I used showed different from what you found, mostly showed version 1.0 as the last available.
