Simple text merge question

Hi, hoping someone can help with a really simple problem that I can’t solve!

I’m creating a report in Word from data extracted from Salesforce. One of the fields contains text that is too long to fit on a single line, so it wraps to the start of the next line. The challenge is a relatively simple one, I want the wrapped text to line up underneath the start of the merge field, which is halfway across the page.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Put the merge field in a textbox or table cell.

I’d be inclined to avoid textboxes. Depending on the paragraph layout, the solution may be as simple as setting it up with a hanging indent.

Thanks to both of you. Unfortunately I can’t use a text box because of restrictions from my in-house IT team. Ideally I wanted the start of the second line to line up with the first line, although I guess a small indent won’t hurt. It will be better than what I have currently.

What level of Word knowledge do you have? This question sounds like you may not know the basics of aligning paragraphs.
