Single-Line Inbox?

How do I get just a single line per email in the Outlook Inbox?  I’ve turned off Preview, and I have the view set to Compact, but I still am getting the Subject line and extra spacing.

I found it:  I had my Ribbon Layout set to “Simplified View.  By doing so it hides “Change Views”/ “Single Line”.  Once I went back to the full ribbon, the View Tab included “Change View” / Single” and also “Change View / Single Unread.”

There we be.
