I’ve setup my new Windows 11 (Dell Optiplex AllInOne) to display a slide show on the lock screen. And it doesn’t work. After a while, the screen goes black. Checked the Settings again and again and I can’t figure out what’s wrong – if any?

It also leaves me a question – when does the Lock screen kick in? There seems to be no time-out setting for the lock screen. The settings for Screen and sleep read These settings are not applicable when using a slide show on the lock screen.

    Any ideas?

Approximately how long is “after a while” before the inactive screen goes black?

Check whether you also have a (Blank) screensaver set at Settings, Personalization, Lock Screen, Related settings.

The lock screen only displays on startup or resume from sleep, unless you manually lock with Win+L.
