Slow access to MS Knowledgebase

Is there anyone with any hints as to how to speed up the display of search page of the KB? Seems whenever I go to the KB it takes about 4-5 minutes before I even get to specify my search criteria. A few months ago this was not a problem but now this is a daily difficulty. What’s changed, if anything to have caused this? I use IE 5.5 with Win98se. Thanks in advance.

It’s difficult to bookmark a pre-customized version of this page without creating an erroneous search. Here’s an attempt:

Can you post the shortcut/URL you are using?

I often just type in the word ‘knowledgebase’ in the address bar for IE 5.5 or try to get there from the MS Technet page and select the Troubleshoot tab and go from there. I wonder if there are browser setting that may be at the root of the problem, although I have restored the default settings.

It may not be the best, but this is what I use:

– I normally get there in < 2 secs.
