Ive gone through the Outlook section of Woody’s book, and I cant find any reference to this. It’s probably simple, and i have an idea onhow to fix it, but I’m looking for confirmation before I go and make the change.

When I type someone’s name into the TO: box in a new mail message, type the message and hit send, it pops up a dialog asking me if I want to send it to the SMTP or FAX destination of the recipient. 99.999% of the time it’s going to be SMTP, so I’d like to turn that off so it defaults to the SMTP address of the contact. I have a feeling that I can just disable the fax features and it will go away, but if there’s a different workaround Id like to try that first.

    TIA
    Mark

      Only thing I’ve seen is:
      Hidefax
      Hope this helps

Ahhh… thanks for the tip. I was hoping to find something free, or a setting in Outlook
        Thanks for the reply though

the only setting in outlook is to move the numbers to a different phone field or add an F at the beginning of the number.
