Hey Y’all,

I thought I’d start a thread where we could post the names of programs we use and have installed in the Win 10 TP and verified as working.

1. Microsoft Money Plus Sunset Edition
2. Note Pad++ 6.6.9
3. Logitech SetPoint 6.65 (My M310 was acting really jerky until I installed SetPoint)
4. USBDLM (USB Drive Letter Management)
5. Nitro PDF Reader 3 64-Bit

So what do you have running?

May the Forces of good computing be with you!

RG, good morn.

Here is my list :

38429-PRG

Quite old stuff but they work for me. Jean.

I can add Quicken 2013, Office 2007 including Outlook, and Chrome browser.

Perhaps a shorter list would be of those that don’t work yet.

I’m see some issues with IE 11 not working on some web pages. And not surprisingly, some third party AV apps like Avira Free.

Also ran Garmin Express to update my GPS without any issues.

I needed to turn off Fast Boot to get Wake-on-LAN to work properly (build 9879).

Remote Desktop from Win7Pro to Win10TP works well.
Also works on build 9879:

[*]xplorer2 Free 64-bit
[*]Macrium Reflect Free (for imaging the boot/Windows partition)
[*]SyncBack Free
[*]
[both the above can be task scheduled, as expected]
[*]TreeSize Free
[*]Auslogics Disk Defragmenter
[*]Autoruns (mostly, but a whole bunch of DLLs are reported as missing – error?)
[*]LibreOffice 4.4.0.2 32-bit (Writer tested)

In fact, I haven’t found anything on my limited list of software which hasn’t worked!

BATcher

Plethora means a lot to me.

…Autoruns (mostly, but a whole bunch of DLLs are reported as missing – error?)…

Be very careful re such system files reported as “missing” in Autoruns (also HiJackThis). Advise don’t delete those entries unless you are very sure they are not valid system files. Most users should not mess with them.

Earlier today I wanted to copy files via LAN from my main Win7 system to my Win10TP system. After some fiddling with folder sharing settings & “Advanced sharing” settings I managed to copy the files. But (strangely) it seemed to be a one-way street. The Win10TP system can access a shared folder on the Win7 system, and copy files from it, but not vice-versa; i.e.: the Win7 system cannot access shared folders on the Win10TP system. Quaint.

I salute your morning.
I am faced with the same situation, Coochin. My solution is the use of a key to move data from any one machine to another. On W-8, this is not present as a problem, there is still a lot to cure on 9879. But it is fun. Jean.
