Sorting and Grouping (A2K SP3)

I have a report that I am trying to sort in Check Number order. Check Number is a text field. The report will sort on numeric fields but not on text fields. I get an error message “Date type mismatch in criteria expression.”

Any suggestions?

Reports are (or should be) able to sort on text fields. Are you trying to perform some operation on the field in the report?

That sure sounds like you’ve mucked up a criteria in a query (which may be part of the report) rather than anything having to do with your sorting.
