I did a spell check today and it didn’t pick up on the letter “t” that was sitting on its own in the document. It is not a full word and on other occasions that would have been picked up as a spelling error? Why didn’t it today?

AskWoody LoungerJanuary 12, 2001 at 1:57 am #1775604This is quite interesting – I just tried it myself.
It appears you can enter any single letter and Word 2K will accept it. Maybe it has something to do with not claiming an error for paragraph numbering? (a, b, c etc)
As soon as you enter tt, though the spelling is flagged.
One exception seems to be i, for which i, ii, iii, iv etc are acceptable.
Never noticed this before.
If you find ‘t’ is a consistent error, you could enter it in Auto-correct to b replaced with ‘tt’. But then you will never be able to write t-shirt again. -
