There is a program, something like config.exe or similar, where you can see what programs are running at start-up and modify the list. How do I get to that window?

      Start>Run> “msconfig.exe” (without the ” “)>Enter

I’ve got a ton of stuff in the start-up program that I would like to remove. If I remove them from the the Start menu, will I still be able to double click the desktop icon and run the program from there? It seems that all of these programs in the start menu decrease system resources. Deleting these from the start menu would increase my system resources, yes? Thanks…
