Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
Noticed that when I check the Startup tab in Task Manager, all the programs indicate “Startup Impact Not Measured.” I did see on a search that this may be a bug that began with Windows 10 20H2 19042.450. Many steps tried. Disabling all startup items, restarting, re-enabling, restarting – no change. Others have tried a clean install – not planning on this one.
Anyone else noticed this problem? Able to solve it?
Solved.
Disabled the programs in “Startup” tab in Task Manager, then accessed System Configuration with “msconfig” and disabled all non Microsoft services (after hiding Microsoft services) and restarted twice. Windows is now measuring “Startup Impact.” Not sure if problem will come back since I am not sure how it started. Note – still not getting a BIOS time, however that may be related to the hardware itself.
No issue now that Startups are being measured except an observation that Startup Impact usually includes BIOS time – but not in my case probably limited to the hardware.
