After the dust settles with this I’d be interested in hearing if Ask Woody points toward only 1 IP address, or if it instead has ‘fail-over’ via dynamical, rotating IP addresses.

I suspect it will only be one external IP as the failover can easily be done at the backend.

I have been able to create a topic both with my Lounger ID and as Anon, in different Forums, without any problem.
Try again, and if you still have problems, let us know.

        Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

I am very pleased with how fast a comment loads these days when one submits it for the first time, or re-submits it after editing. I still wait 20 -25 seconds between giving the last touch to a comment I am editing and hitting “Submit”, even if it was just to add a missing comma — in case the twitchy finger spam filter is watching. Otherwise, posting a comment is now a snap and has been so for a while already. It also used to be that a comment was likely to be spirited away  by the spam filter the moment one hit “Submit” if it had more than one URL link to articles of interest, but this has not happened again, in my own experience, more or less since the speeding up of submissions.
