    Hi,

Is it possible to stop Excel after you have selected the copy command? I frequently work with very large data sets (over 20,000 rows and 100 columns. I filter this data then try and copy and paste the filtered data into a new spreadsheet. Unfortunately where I work I don’t have the fastest processor and only 256 RAM, so frequently the copy process takes a long time. If I need to do something else there doesn’t seem to be any way to cancel the copy other than ending Excel with task manager.

Does anyone know if there is another way to stop a copy?

    Thanks.

No I haven’t, but will try next time it happens. Thanks.

I just tried to do a big copy like the ones that take forever, but for some reason everything copied quickly this time.
