    Hi All,

I use windows 7 and will continue to as windows 10 does not come with Media Center, so I do I stop the annoying messages asking if I want to upgrade to windows 10.

    Or can’t I.

    Any suggestions

    Thanks

Download and run either GWX Control Panel or GRC’s Never10. The utilities will allow you to tunr off the W10 upgrade forever.

      cheers, Paul

WMC on Windows 10 – I tried to get it to work, how did you go about getting it to run?

    • #1562015

I don’t have WMC but here is an article on installing it on W10: http://www.windowscentral.com/install-media-center-windows-10
      Hope this helps

Ahh – this thread answers the question I was about to post.

I was about to set my PC to do this download in the early hours of tomorrow when the little bell rang saying – “Is this a scam – do I know that this is real and not some nasty about to take over my PC?”.

Seems the answer is that it is genuine.

On youtube there is a poster Britec09 who posts many useful items.

Of interest here is an interesting post about the seemingly forced windows 10 update.

He goes through the options including those mentioned above. A quite clear presentation.
