Using Everything Search I found several files dated 12/31/2022 23:59 and 01/01/2023 00:00. I don’t know when or how they were generated, however, regardless, as they seem to be mostly log or cache files I deleted them all (yes, I have a backup image).

Any clues anyone? For details, see the attached JPG (where J:\ equals C:\ as the former is the image drive).

Just noted that I have to log in to see the attached JPG.  Is this normal or did I make a mistake when uploading the file?  Anyhow, take this as a heads-up!

Normal, unless you “insert into content”.

Thanks for the reminder.  Haven’t posted-uploaded a file for a while!

Not applicable (set correctly) as if set incorrectly the date-time of other files would be wrong. I changed the time provider from time.nist.gov to time.windows.com just in case (like I have on my laptop w/o these issues).

It may have something to do with WaaSMedicSVC, judging from what I could read in “waasmedic.20221231_225958_060.etl”, and the settings I have in Group Policy for Windows Update.

I removed one GP setting which may no longer be relevant or even conflicting as it dates from 1809 (whereas I am on 21H2).  Let’s see what happens.
