Hiya,
I have the international background on my switchboard, and some times it changes to a flurry colour, why is this and how can I prevent it from happening in the future?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerSeptember 24, 2001 at 6:29 pm #543891Hi
Start with the simple things ….
Are you sure that only Access exhibits this “furry” colour ?
I have an old monitor which responds to a slap on the side. Dry joint in some solder somewhere.I also have a multi switch box to allow me to run 4 computers to 1 monitor. A dicky connection responds to a wiggle or two and the colour comes right.
Cheers

AskWoody LoungerSeptember 26, 2001 at 9:29 am #544117I’m thinking color pallettes here – what other programs are you running, or were you just running when the colors go funny? Also what version of Windows?
Make sure that you’re running the display adapter for your laptop at a goodly number of colors, like 16K colors or 24 bit color.
(Pallettes are the way Windows chooses colors; rather than specify the color using its true numeric value, it picks a set of 16 – I think – colors and selects from among them. Every once in a while programs have different opinions about what those colors should be and Windows has trouble keeping track.)
