I’m sure when I first used System Restore I had numerous choices for going back to a previous Checkpoint. I did it once and it worked fine. Now, however, I find that the only Checkpoint being set up is for the current log-on. How do I turn back on the ability to set and keep a Checkpoint every day?

      This Microsoft webcast transcript

suggests that a checkpoint is done automatically every 24 hours.

Now for my disclaimer: I don’t know a thing about XP. I just did a quick check of the Microsoft KB (which has lots more stuff on system restore that I didn’t go through.)

I gave up on it, disabled it, and reinstalled Go Back 3.1 which gives you a check point every few minutes.
