Norton Systemworks 2002 comes with Roxio’s Go Back program bundled. Windows XP has a system restore program as part of the operating system. Is there any advantage to the Roxio product over the built in XP program?

Norton comes with GoBack 2.0 and this version will not work with XP. XP’s System Restore works fine, but if you want a few more bells and whistles, you will have to buy GoBack 3.0 from Roxio.

My SW Pro 2002 came with GoBack 3.0 PE & I have used it once. Work without a hitch – but they should have large warnings that recent emails etc will be lost (I could have saved to another PC on network, but wwans not thinking clearly !).

Have not tried XP’s version.

I found my copy of Go Back 3.1 worked far better than System Restore so I disabled System Restore. Didn’t bother trying the SW Pro 2000 version.
