Starting about 3 weeks ago my system32 folder is opening in Windows Explorer when I log in. I don’t know of any changes that would have started this. I have checked the run keys in the registry and the startup menu for my profile and the default/all users profiles but do not see anything that I would associate with this window. Running WinNT4.0 SP6. Any thoughts?

Added when I noted that you have Checked the Run key
Have you checked both run keys at
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun
      and
      HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun
