Hello:

Can anyone advise me on how I can creat a field that will allow me to creat an option to tick yes/no.

Would it be better to use the drawing tool/

I don’t understand what your question has to do with the subject ‘Tables’.
Both the Forms toolbar and the Control Toolbox provide a check box that can be placed in your document. They look slightly differently – see screenshot.
