It would be very helpful if new posts were tagged with a less frequently appearing phrase such as “new post” instead of the current “new”. When I use the browser’s search function to search for “new” posts in a given topic, a lot of instances of “new” aren’t the “new” tag because of the frequency of use of “new”.

ManagerFebruary 26, 2018 at 1:53 am #170432If you wish to remove the “new” tags, just refresh the page – all gone! It assumes you have read them all.
Sadly, if you reply to one post before you read the other new posts, in effect it reloads the page and removes all the “new” tags. A way around this is to right-click the reply link, to do the reply in a new tab/window, leaving you to review the other posts on the original page before you lose those tags.
