Come on people. I can’t be the only one who has the task bar showing all the time. It’s annoying and takes up the exact spot on the screen I want to be in.

Yes, I have the Auto Hide task bar box checked.

How do I get the task bar to hide itself when I’m not hovering over it?

You’re not alone. Tried unchecking auto hide and rebooting then checking auto hide and rebooting. Task bar would hide after reboot until it was opened to desk top. At that point it stayed.
After trying many times and many ways I gave up. Have auto hide unchecked now and am waiting for a patch to fix this. I’m sure one will come along.

Just saw albenzing’s reply on your other thread and will look in that direction.

Did you see the last three replies to your last thread on this subject?

I think you may need to figure out which third-party program is keeping your task bar active.

I just noticed the Notification Icon, a dialogue box on the extreme right edge of the Task Bar. I clicked on that, and I had a down load that I needed to do. I did that download, and now, since there no more notifications, the Task Bar has hidden. I think that dialogue box, like you see in comics, is the key to the problems of the Task Bar not going away.
