Hi. I’m having problems with Task Scheduler. Everytime I try to run a scheduled task, I get the following error message: ‘0x8009000f: Object already exists.’ Attahced is the scheduled task log for more information. I would appreciate it if anyone can please explain what is happening and how do I fix it.

    Thank you!

Hi Leif. Thank you for replying. No, I am not trying to schedule a task that is already running. Something else is happening. Maybe you have another solution?

Hi. I finally found a solution to my Task Scheduler problem! For anynone who is interested, check out the e-mail below. Good luck!

I did find someone that had the same problem and here is the solution that Microsoft gave him. I followed the instructions and it fixed the problem. Let me know how it works for you!

The problem can occur to some cryptography files that reside on your system. The following file is required for setting account information for scheduled
        Tasks:
        C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftCryptoRSAS-1-5-18d42cc0c3858a58db2db37658219e6400_398d151f
        -b662e-4aae-8ae2-0fb40729b574

Here, we go through the following steps to troubleshoot this issue: 1. In Windows Explorer, go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View, choose “Show hidden files and folders” and click OK.

        2. Go to locate the above file, then copy it to another location, then delete it. Go to re-create a new task and check the issue again.
