Is there a way to set up the Taskpad in the Calendar view of Outlook so that the tasks shown are related to the date selected?

I want to (and am sure I could in an earlier version of Outlook) select a date in the calendar view and then see not only the appointments for that day, but the tasks that are due that day. However when I try to customise the view, the only date options appear to relate to the current date, not the date selected and showing in the calendar.

I’m sure this was never default behavior, however, try this: right click the mini Taskpad header bars, select Customize Current View and apply the Filter in the dialog below. (You can also look around the Current View dialog for other useful options, and try the Advanced tab on the filter for more complex Task criteria.)

On more careful reading, I’m sure I misunderstood your question. I don’t believe there has ever been a way in Outlook to show only the Tasks Due on the same Calendar Date selected and active. Nearest I can see is that you can Group By Due Date and scroll down to the selected date in the TaskPad Window.

(I’ll leave my other post stand in case it is of some value to Loungers.)
