I’ve just had a go with the Weight Training Log (randomly selected I hasten to add) and it worked fine for me.

What speed connection do you have?

In the Finanace and Accounting section / Financial Statements / Balance Sheet..

Looks like I’ve got something screwed up in my set up… I’m using the developer version of Off XP.. without the SQL server stuff..

I can’t say for XP but in Off’97 by default it’s C:Program FilesMicrosoft Officetemplates. Check in XL to see where your installation is set to look for user templates. Failing that, do a ‘Search Files or Folders’ for *.xlt and see what it comes up with.

Don’t forget to save it as an .XLT instead of an .XLS if you want to use it as a true template.

Just got the weight training log to work in Word but the xcel stuff is not working for me..

I’m trying to download some of the templates from http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/Template…ery/default.asp

and when I click the edit button – nothing happens. I’ve rebooted my computer (W2000 Pro) and no luck.

Is the template supposed to appear magically in XL? Or does it get downloaded to some mysterious directory I’ve been unable to locate?

I get a very brief “connecting” window but then it disappears and nothing…
