Does anyone know of an add-on to Windows Explorer in Win98 that allows thumbnail views of pics like you get in Windows 2000? I saw the tail of a recent discussion here that recommended picaview (the start of the thread had gone) but I wanted something that shows all the pics in a folder together.
    Thanks.

I have never used Active Desktop, so I don’t know for sure, but I believe that if you install Win 98 Active Desktop you will get that.

Here’s some info from MS about enabling thumbnail view in Explorer, and it’s limitations.

JamesB’s answer is perfect! Thanks. So simple and obvious. But the words “thumbnail view” aren’t in Explorer Help, which is presumably why a KB article was needed.

Yes, indeed, a much better solution than PicaView (though that’s a decent add-on too). Thanks James.

There is some software called Hijaak that will do that for, plus a great deal more if you are looking at cataloguing/converting quantities of image files.
