Time machine backup worked fine on Sonoma but it always comes with error on Sequoia 15.1.1. It says:

Time Machine did not finish backing up because some files were unavailable. Backups will resume when your Mac is unlocked.

    Does anyone know what happens?

    Thanks

“If Time Machine reports that the backup is delayed because some files are unavailable, make sure that your backup disk is available and your Mac is unlocked. Then choose Back Up Now from the Time Machine menu.”

Found the above on the Apple Support site at this link

Report back here and let us know if this is a fix for your problem.

If that doesn’t work, and your current settings activate TM overnight, try switching to using Time Machine Backup while actively using your Mac. That’s the way I do it and there’s never a problem, it completes the backup process. Otherwise, make sure your Mac is unlocked in order to successfully give TM access to your system and files while left to perform the task overnight.

      MacOS iPadOS and sometimes SOS

It seems a common issue in 15.1.1. I saw a few users with the same problem from Apple community. Hope it could be fixed in next update.
