This was in our small town newspaper today.
I did not believe it until I called our local cop and was told it was true.
Its definitely time for me to move to a better neighborhood in another state.
Any suggestions?????

Can’t find anything on a Google map at that intersection that even remotely resembles a service station…
The cops can’t find it either!
It was on Main Street where every one could see it day and night.
It is turning out to be one of the biggest jokes, along with the police department, around here.
Your original link doesn’t work for me – but if you mean this story, I can quite see why you’d want to move…

Missing Building.
Makes me wonder if I should get up in the middle of the night, run outside and make sure the local building thief did not run off with my house!
Kind of embarrassing to discuss it at the local coffee shop.
Makes me wonder if us local folk should petition to change the name of our county from Middlesex to Hicksville!
There IS a Hicksville out where I come from, across the water from you – Hicksville, Long Island (real close to Huntington, where I was born).
Hicksville…..that IS a blast from the past for me! Used to date a gal from Hicksville. The biggest problem was getting there from northern NJ. Driving out the big LIE. ( Long Island “Expressway” for those not familiar with the area )
