    Hello y’all,

Word 2003 includes some interesting Tracking Changes enhancements.

However, does anyone know of a method/methods to turn off Tracking Changes and get rid of edits and comments, short of going through the process of reviewing changes, accepting or rejecting changes through the entire document?

I know about the settings available on the Reviewing toolbar. But, whatever settings you choose, save tand close he document, at the next opening of the documents all the changes reappear. Turning off Tracking Changes doesn’t remove the changes already annotated in the document.

    Thanks and,
    G’Day,
    Rich

To get rid of tracked changes already present in a document, you’ll have to accept or reject them. Just turning off the display of tracked changes doesn’t remove them, as you have found.

You can Accept or Reject All in a single step. Either use the tiny drop-down arrows on the Revisions toolbar, or drag the old Accept/Reject dialog to a toolbar/menu.

Added: I’m not sure what you meant by get rid of comments. If they were added using Insert>Comment, but were not “tracked,” then you might have to remove those in a separate process.
